Dr. Hakizimana is the Musanze Campus Principal at the University of Kigali. He is an experienced academic and researcher with a long record of excellence in higher education.

  • ACCESS (African Center for Career Enhancement and Skills Support): A Euro 4,155,446 grant (2020-2014) aimed at fostering employability of university graduates. Funded by DAAD, involving universities from six African countries and Leipzig University from Germany.
  • EnRHEd (Enhancement of Rwandan Higher Education in Strategic Fields for Sustainable Growth): A Euro 90,539,200 grant (2020-2023) funded by Erasmus+ (European Commission). This project involves multiple international universities and aims at capacity building, internationalization, new program development, and the use of IT in teaching and learning.
  • Skills Development Fund (SDF): A 35,000,000 FRw grant (2021) from the Workforce Development Authority (WDA) for training in ICT/Programming.
