The University of Kigali (UoK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Mukasonga Virginie as Deputy Publicity Secretary of the Executive Council of the African Association of Deans of Students Affairs in Tertiary Institutions (AADSATI). This news highlights University of Kigali’s Mukasonga Virginie Appointed Deputy Publicity Secretary of AADSATI and her growing leadership in regional academic organisations.
The appointment happened in a recently concluded AADSATI International Conference in Kigali, hosted by the University of Kigali and attended by Deans of Students and student affairs leaders from tertiary institutions across Africa.
Ms. Mukasonga’s appointment recognises her professional commitment to higher education and student affairs and further strengthens AADSATI’s communication and engagement structures. In her new role, she will support the Chief Publicity Secretary in coordinating the Association’s publicity, communication and public engagement activities.
Her responsibilities will include contributing to the development of announcements, newsletters, publications and digital content, while supporting effective and timely communication with AADSATI members and stakeholders. She will also contribute to enhancing the Association’s visibility and strengthening engagement among student affairs professionals across the continent.
Commenting on the appointment, University of Kigali Vice Chancellor, Prof. George Kimathi, congratulated Ms. Mukasonga and highlighted the importance of professional leadership and collaboration in advancing higher education.

Ms. Mukasonga Virginie expressed her appreciation for the confidence placed in her and reaffirmed her commitment to advancing AADSATI’s objectives.
