University of Kigali Student Awarded LEARN Logistics Scholarship to Attend Sustainability Summer School in Germany
A University of Kigali Bachelor of Supplies and Procurement Management Student is currently participating in the Kühne Logistics University (KLU) Sustainability Summer School 2026, in Hamburg, Germany, from 29 June to 17 July 2026. The student was selected and awarded the scholarship through LEARN Logistics by Kühne Foundation, under the Memorandum of Understanding with University of Kigali, which is dedicated to strengthening capacity in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) across low- and middle-income countries.

According to Dr Ronald Kwena, the Coordinator of the Centre for Applied Logistics and Supply Chain Management, this year, only five scholarships have been awarded to students from five selected African partner universities, making the selection a significant achievement for both the student and the University of Kigali.

The three-week programme will provide participants with an immersive learning experience in sustainability, logistics, supply chain management, and global best practices through lectures, practical sessions, industry engagement, and intercultural exchange at Kühne Logistics University (KLU), one of Europe’s leading institutions specializing in logistics and supply chain management.

The University of Kigali congratulates the selected student on this outstanding achievement and expresses its appreciation to LEARN Logistics and the Kühne Foundation for their continued partnership in advancing excellence in logistics education, international mobility, and capacity building. The scholarship further strengthens the University’s commitment to developing globally competitive graduates and expanding international learning opportunities for its students.
