The University of Kigali recently hosted a high-impact Faculty Development Workshop on Case-Based Pedagogy, facilitated by Professor Iris Berdrow of Ivey Business School, Western University, Canada, under the 39 Country Initiative. This event demonstrates how the University of Kigali Advances Teaching Excellence Through Ivey Business School Workshop on Case-Based Pedagogy.
The workshop, part of the Rwanda Workshop Series organised by Ivey Business School, brought together academic staff to strengthen teaching excellence through the effective use of the case method. Professor Berdrow delivered a highly interactive session focused on the practical application of case-based pedagogy. Similarly, James Hakizimana of the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) noted that “the interactive and practical approach made the session highly engaging and effective. The guidance brought the case method to life, deepening my understanding and providing valuable, ready-to-use tools to enhance classroom engagement and student learning outcomes.”
