Bearing the ISSN 3078-512X, the journal is published by the University of Kigali and focuses on advancing research in finance, economics, and management. Dr Ronald Kwena, the Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Enterprise at University of Kigali and the Editor in Chief – Journal of Financial and Management Sciences (JFMS) noted that being indexed in DOAJ greatly enhances the journal’s global visibility and credibility, making its research freely accessible to scholars, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide.

“This achievement reflects a broader commitment to promoting open access scholarship and supporting Rwanda’s transition toward a knowledge-based economy. By providing a platform for high-quality research and fostering global academic exchange, the Journal of Financial and Management Sciences is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping evidence-based decision-making and sustainable development. It also positions JFMS as a trusted outlet for impactful academic work, strengthening the University of Kigali’s reputation as a growing hub for research and innovation in the region,” Dr Kwena added.
