SPEP offers CAT tuition to persons who wish to qualify and work as middle level accountants and technical support specialists in auditing, taxation and other related fields.
The examinations are held three times a year in April, August and December.
CAT has a total of 12 papers covered in three level of stage 1 (3 papers), stage 2 (3 papers) and stage 3 (6 papers). The last two papers in stage 3 are optional and a student attempts 1.
Entry Qualifications
Senior six examinations score of 15 points or more or;
Senior six examinations certificate with at least two years relevant work experience or:
Certificates from recognized institutions such as TVET certificate III in accounting (RTQF level 3) or;
Certificate from other recognized professional examination bodies or;
Mature entry route
Ordinary level with atleast three years work experience
More than 7 years of relevant work experience with a proof from a recognized employer for candidates with qualifications different from cited above
Duration of Study
Depends on the number of papers attempted and passed in every examination sitting. Between 1 to 3 years.
