University of Kigali Engaged High School Graduates Nationwide from December 27th to December 30th, 2024, the University of Kigali (UOK) embarked on a transformative educational campaign to inspire high school graduates across Rwanda to pursue higher education. The initiative toured all provinces of the country and emphasized the advantages of continuing education through Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs.

During the session, they emphasized the significance of continuing university education as a pathway to achieving academic and professional success

The Musanze Campus, led by Principal Dr. Leopold Hakizimana and Marketing Officer Tuyishime Jean Paul, the University of Kigali Engaged High School Graduates Nationwide through which the team undertook a significant marketing initiative to showcase the opportunities available at the University of Kigali (UoK) and highlight its contribution to Rwanda’s exemplary leadership in education. Targeting young people in the Northern and Western provinces, this campaign aligns with the university’s goal of promoting higher education as a cornerstone of personal and national development. Through the Itorero program, a national youth service initiative, the team has engaged with students across various districts, emphasizing Rwandan values and the benefits of pursuing higher education.
During the outreach, the team visited key institutions such as Saint Marie School in Karongi, TTC Rubengera, Rwanda Coding Academy, and others, delivering detailed presentations on UoK’s academic programs, support systems, and leadership opportunities. This initiative has proven instrumental in fostering interest among prospective students, showcasing UoK’s commitment to academic excellence and youth empowerment. By connecting with Rwanda’s future leaders, the university reinforces its dedication to equipping young people with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a competitive global landscape.

The tour aimed to engage high school graduates and emphasize the importance of continuing their education by pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.

They also provided detailed information on the admission criteria for the University of Kigali (UOK) and the wide range of academic programs offered, including those in Business Management, Economics, and other fields.
