At the University of Kigali (UoK), we believe in the transformative power of entrepreneurship as a vehicle for youth and women empowerment. Our latest initiative, led by Ruth Mbabazi, UoK Coordinator for the Enterprise Center/Hub – IDRI, has successfully concluded a comprehensive training program for the brilliant young minds at Agahozo Youth Village Alumni.
This groundbreaking training program focused on key entrepreneurial skills, including ideation, market research, and prototyping. It equipped participants with the tools needed to transform their ideas into viable business ventures. With the collaboration of UoK student entrepreneurs, the program fostered a practical and supportive learning environment, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
The objective of this initiative goes beyond skill development; it is about creating job opportunities and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among our community’s youth and women. By empowering these individuals, we provide them with the skills and confidence to start their own businesses and drive economic growth within their communities.
Through these collaborative efforts, we aim to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs who will contribute to sustainable development and challenge the status quo. Our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation ensures that young people and women have equal opportunities to succeed in the ever-evolving business landscape.
