RESEARCH WORKSHOP FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

University of Kigali (UoK) through the Graduate School recently held a capacity-building workshop for its students currently in the research/dissertation stage of their Master’s degree program. The workshop is part of the university’s all-round academic development initiative for the Graduate students. The research workshop is compulsory component of the research/dissertation process according to the university’s research and innovation policy/guidelines.

The workshop was facilitated by the Associate Deputy Vice-chancellor, University of Kigali, Dr Samuel Sindayigaya and Dr Emmanuel Bugingo who is an IT expert from the university’s Musanze campus. Dr Samuel guided the students on the basics and steps involved in Data Analysis while Dr Emmanuel Bugingo handled the stage-by-stage procedure involved in results’ presentation.

Research workshops have become an integral part of graduate education, providing students with crucial skills and knowledge that enhance their academic and professional development. These workshops create structured environments where students can learn about various aspects of research, connect with peers and mentors, and ultimately enhance the quality of their work. The workshop attracted graduate students from the September 2022 all through September 2023 intakes.
