UoK Hosts Career Accelerator Programme: University of Kigali through the Office of the Director of International Affairs and Partnership, officially launched the Work Readiness and Career Accelerator Programme on Monday, 10th November 2025, at Lab 6, Kigali Main Campus. This five-day intensive training is designed to empower final-year students with essential employability and professional skills, preparing them for a seamless transition from University life to the world of work.

The opening session, facilitated by Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator (Rwanda), focused on key themes including:

  1. Job application and interview preparation
  2. Personal branding and networking
  3. Connecting with potential employers
  4. Understanding current job market trends
  5. Language and communication proficiency

The session began with a welcoming address and programme overview by the Director of International Affairs and Partnership. The Harambee team then led participants through an engaging and practical skills session, equipping them with tools to enhance their employability and confidence in professional environments.

This showcase our University’s commitment to producing work-ready graduates who can compete globally and contribute meaningfully to Rwanda’s development agenda. The Work Readiness and Career Accelerator Programme runs from 10th to 14th November 2025, featuring expert facilitators from Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator (Rwanda), LK Recruitment (Rwanda), Hire Me Africa (Rwanda), Professors Without Borders (UK) and CAP-Youth Empowerment Institute (Kenya).UoK Hosts Career Accelerator Programme
