Four members of the University of Kigali’s academic staff participated in the Validation Workshop organised by the Higher Education Council (HEC) of Rwanda on Friday, 3 October 2025, at the University of Rwanda – College of Medicine and Health Sciences (UR-CMHS), Remera Campus (Medicine Smart Room).
The workshop focused on developing Guidelines for Virtual Learning and the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Rwanda’s Higher Learning Institutions, aimed at strengthening quality assurance and innovation in higher education. Once finalised, the guidelines will help ensure that Rwandan graduates are well-equipped with the digital competencies required to contribute effectively to national development.
The University of Kigali had earlier submitted its feedback to HEC following a review of the draft guidelines, reaffirming its commitment to excellence, innovation, and regulatory collaboration in higher education.
