University of Kigali to Host the 2nd AI & IoT Innovation Hub Bootcamp – Rwanda 2025: We are excited to announce the upcoming 2nd Generation AI & IoT Innovation Hub Bootcamp, set to take place in Rwanda in 2025, in collaboration with the School of Computing and IT, University of Calgary (Canada) and the School of Computing and IT (SCIT), University of Kigali (UoK).
This prestigious event will bring together students, faculty, and industry professionals to explore cutting-edge developments in data science and analytics. The bootcamp will be held both virtually and in-person, offering an inclusive and flexible learning experience.
Bootcamp Schedule:
Virtual Sessions (via Zoom):
Wednesday, May 21 – Sunday, June 8, 2025
In-Person Sessions:
Friday, June 13 – Tuesday, June 17, 2025
Location: LAB 4 and LAB 5, University of Kigali
What to Expect – Focus Areas:
Participants will gain hands-on skills and practical knowledge in the following key areas:
- IT Tools in Data Analytics
- Tableau
- Power BI
- Python Programming
The bootcamp will feature sessions led by esteemed experts, including Dr. Andy Asare, Assistant Professor in Data Analytics at the University of Calgary, alongside other visiting professors and professionals in the field.
Participating Institutions:
In addition to University of Kigali students and faculty, participants will include students from:
- Kepler College
- Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA)
- University of Rwanda (UR)
This multi-institutional approach fosters collaboration, innovation, and a broader exchange of ideas in the growing field of artificial intelligence and data analytics.
