Claudine Uwase was born in Rwanda and is an economist with specialization in Applied Quantitative
Economics, Macroeconomic Policy, and Data Analysis.She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Quantitative Economics from the University of Rwanda in partnership with Kiel University, Germany, where she was awarded an Erasmus Exchange Scholarship due to being the best performer in her cohort. She brings several years of experience in teaching, research, and policy analysis gained from institutions in Rwanda and abroad, including Kiel Institute for the World Economy(Ifw),the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MINECOFIN), the Center for Integrated Development Research and Action (CIDRA) and DHM Ltd. Since 2024, she has been serving at the University of Kigali in the School of Business and Economics. while also mentoring students in data analysis using statistical tools like Stata and Excel. Claudine Uwase has contributed to academia through research, including her work on migration and economic outcomes and trade openness and economic growth in Rwanda, as well as research on inflation and economic performance.
