Kafui Odzangba Dake is the Director of Information Technology at the University of Kigali, where he leads comprehensive digital transformation initiatives across the institution’s campuses. With over 15 years of experience in IT project management and digital innovation across Africa, he brings extensive expertise in enterprise systems implementation, cloud infrastructure, and strategic technology planning.
Prior to joining the University of Kigali, Kafui served as Information Technology Manager for the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Global Network, where he delivered multi-million-dollar technology projects across eight countries in partnership with government agencies and international development organisations. Notable achievements include leading a USD $1.2 million smart classroom implementation across 16 districts in Rwanda in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Mastercard Foundation.
Kafui holds an MBA from Boston University and maintains professional certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He serves as a Board Member of the Rwanda Software Testing Qualifications Board (RWSTQB) and is an active member of ISACA and PMI.
Beyond his operational responsibilities, Kafui has delivered digital literacy and cybersecurity training programmes reaching over 800 staff across multiple countries, demonstrating his commitment to building technology capacity in the development sector.
