Ms.MUKASONGA Virginie is a staff representative of the University of Kigali Governing Body. She has a masters in Educational Management and Administration (MED), she has Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). She is a Dean of Students Affairs at the University of Kigali and an Assistant Lecturer at the School of Education at the University of Kigali.

With 19 years’ of progressive work and commitment to communities in education and development, she monitors students’ life concerning academic and non-academic issues, helps students to manage various kinds of pressure to enable them succeed, liaise with other organs of the university to ensure that students’ voices are heard and gathers, analyzes and uses data to develop and assess programs that impact students lives positively and make recommendations to the university management on their behalf.

Prior to assuming this role, she has successfully conducted a presentation about Rwandan Education System and University of Kigali in Ostrava University (Czech Republic), she worked as the Head of Department at the University of Kigali Graduate School; she worked five years as a coordinator of a center of around 1700 students in Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
