On December 3, 2024, the University of Kigali’s Center for Equity and Inclusiveness, in collaboration with the National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPD), celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities event in Nyaruguru District, Kibeho Sector. The event provided a valuable platform to highlight the University’s ongoing commitment to inclusive education and to share its achievements in supporting students with special needs.
During the event, community members, government officials, and representatives from both local and international NGOs could engage with the University’s efforts in fostering an inclusive educational environment. The University’s special needs students also actively participated in the celebrations, showcasing their achievements and resilience.
