ENTRY REQUIREMENTS- CPA
Students with the following qualifications are eligible for registration;
- Senior Six Examination Score of 30 points and above or its equivalent
- Holders of Certified Accounting Technician Certificate OR
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Accounting Certificate from a recognized University/Tertiary institution or professional body
- Third year University students specializing in Accounting or Business Studies
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS- CAT
- a) Senior Six Examination Score of 15 points or more
- b) Work Experience and Other certificates from recognized institutions (on case by case basis)
Students with the following qualifications are eligible for registration;
- Senior Six Examination Score of 30 points and above or its equivalent, mean grade C+ and C in both English and Mathematics
- CPA-R Foundation holders
- CAT Certificate holders
- Degree from a recognized University
- IGCSE 6 Credits including English and
- Mathematics and GCE 3 B’s
CIFA opens your doors as a Certified Investment Financial Analyst.This is the only qualification of its kind in East Africa that prepares you in the fields of Investments, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, Fund Management and careers in the stock exchange.
Examinations are held twice yearly in June and December.

The CPA examination is benchmarked on the international standards promulgated by International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB), International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB).
The CPA examination therefore meets the requirements of International Education Standards (IESs), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), International Accounting Standards (IASs), International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSASs).

The ACCA Certificate in IPSAS (Cert IPSAS) has been specifically developed to help you meet the challenges of implementing IPSAS – the global accruals-based accounting standards used for the preparation of general purpose financial statements by governments and other public sector entities.
The Cert IPSAS qualification:
- examines the fundamental requirements of accruals-based International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) on a standard-by-standard basis, for the benefit of preparers, auditors and users of financial statements
- provides guidance on how to use IPSAS in practice, with the aid of questions, cases and interactive exercises
- explains the difference between the cash basis IPSAS and accruals-based IPSAS
- provides an overview of how IPSAS are used around the world
- explains the workings of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) and how these are developing.
