A warm welcome to the University of Kigali (UoK), Faculty of IT and ARCHITECTURE. The best education is one that prepares students by fostering creativity, flexibility, curiosity and innovation; those are only found at UoK especially in the Faculty of IT and ARCHITECTURE. We are committed to provide a solid foundation in IT area in software development, networking and system administration with hands-on activities and to investing in technology to support our mission and to create an information technology “baseline” that embraces the diversity and innovation.

Our aim is to provide secure, reliable, and integrated technology solutions in alignment with academic and administrative goals, while delivering excellence in customer service.

To promote safe, disciplined, and drug-free learning environments.

To improve learning by ensuring that more students have effective teachers through implementing evaluation and support systems that considers multiple measurers of effectiveness.

Stimulate a working environment within the faculty that is supportive of staff and encourages active engagement and a positive contribution from individual members of staff.

Support innovation in programme design and delivery, learning, teaching and assessment methods and student support, and lead the faculty’s commitment to a learning culture for staff and students.

Proactively develop the portfolio of programmes, seeking opportunities for new and modified programmes in response to changes in market demand.

The Faculty of IT and ARCHITECTURE has high qualified and competent academic human resource. All our programs are designed to be completed in 3 years and at the end a student obtains a Bachelors Degree with Honours.

Bachelors in Information technology (BIT)

Bachelors in Business Information technology (BBIT)

Database administrators, Network administrators, web designers, information security analysts,  and system analysts among other IT areas, computerized accountants, operations managers, and other business related areas such as public service, the private sector NGO’s, educational, health, religious, financial and government institutions;
