About the Conference:

Full Paper / Extended Abstracts Submission

Original works on, but not limited to, the above themes and other related issues are invited for presentation from interested individuals. For consideration a full paper or an extended abstract (extended abstract should be at least 1000 words) should be submitted to: not later than 31st January 2017.However, early submission will be appreciated.

Guidelines for Paper / Abstract Submission:

  • To facilitate blind review of Paper / abstracts the first page should contain the title of abstract / paper and author names (s) and affiliations only.
  • The main abstract / paper should not contain any identifying details except the title of the abstract / paper.
  • The abstract must contain an introduction, objectives, methodology, outcomes (if research already completed) and 3 to 5 key words.
  • APA referencing style should be used

Selected papers that meet quality standards, through blind review process, will be published in conference proceedings titled, “Advances in Business and Information Technology”  with ISBN number 0978-99977-736-0-9 & 0978-99977-736-1-6

The doctoral colloquium

The doctoral colloquium aims to provide a platform to Ph.D. / DBA/ M. Phil. students at an advanced stage of their research to present their work in progress to a team of experts to receive useful feedback to finalize their work for submission to their University for examination. UoK doctoral colloquium will be a special opportunity for doctoral students in Rwanda and from beyond to meet a wider group of experts and doctoral students to discuss their findings, compare notes and get useful insights for further improvement.

Students’ Session: A special session is planned for undergraduate and post-graduate students to present papers/ research articles / innovation projects to provide opportunity to the students to present their work at the International forum and get guidance from the experts.

For consideration, the submission should ideally be not less than 2500 words and must include an introduction, problem statement, objectives, brief literature review or theoretical framework, methodology used and findings or expected findings.


Best Paper Award: USD 100

Best Doctoral / Dissertation Presentation: USD 100

  1. Submission of Abstract / Full paper 31st January, 2017
  2. Notification of Paper Acceptance: 7th February,2014 (within one week from submission date)
  3. Registration:             15th February 2017
