The University boasts of several partners with whom it works to ease the conduct of research and propel it to enjoy ‘Unequalled Education Excellence’. UoK has Memoranda of Understanding with a number of organizations:
Economic Policy Research Network (EPRN)
EPRN is an economic policy research platform in Rwanda which aims at strengthening the capacity of individuals and organisations interested in economic policy research and analysis, through training, coaching, mentorship, and engagement in joint research projects.
The student chapter that the University entered into on 8th August 2017 gunners to identify and support the brightest university students in Rwanda interested in scientific research work.
Their activities include: Capacity building and enhancing students’ interest in research methodology; Practical experiences where students and members of staff are informed about opportunities for internship in government and other institutions and self organized activities and networking encounters such as debates on economic issues, presentations on current affairs, peer tutoring and scientific writing among others. These activities are scheduled by the university and engaged in on a monthly basis.
Academia Internazionale per lo Sviluppo Economico e Sociale (AISES)
UoK partners with this association which is based in Rome and Brussels. Its aim is to strengthen the intergenerational transmission of ethical and cultural values and experiences through research. The collaboration seeks to promote innovation and competitiveness of the productive system in order to generate employment and enhance the social cohesion and well being of humanity.
Global Rules Ethics and Economic Network (GREEN) project
GREEN is a global network among research centers of excellence of which UoK is among.
The collaboration seeks to extend local support to connect Graduate students, Post Doctoral researchers, Professors and Practitioners around the world.
This interconnectedness helps to enhance learning from each other, enhance individual skills and ultimately leads to human development.
Kigali Public Library (KPL)
This partnership has enabled staff and students to access the over 20 000 books in the Public Library, including borrowing of up to five books per individual for 15 days and an unlimited access to the robust KPL Wi-Fi.
This partnership has eased review of literature by staff and students engaged in research.
Duale Hoch Schule Baden- Wurttemberg (DHBW)
The University in 2016 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DHBW and among the areas of cooperation is the implementation of mutual research projects. Some staff are already prospecting for this opportunity.
Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE)
In the field of stock exchange, research is indispensable and is of daily occurrence.
The University has a standing and mutual relationship with RSE based on Academic research, Capacity building and Outreach cooperation.
Specifically RSE and UoK do exchange Experts, Researchers, Publications, Professional programs, Internship opportunities and Research projects.
